Well, my short break is over, and I’m back at work today.

At this point I’d just like to say that I’m on ‘Long Service Leave’ (a wonderful award condition not seen on any AWA I would suggest) and will return to work late February!!! hahaha
It’s in my AWA, but I’d have to work here for another 6 years to be able to access it — 90 Working days(?) credit, after 10 years service, then accrues at ~10 working days per year (pro-rata, credited quaterly) after that.
I’m on the bog-standard AWA that most of us here are on.

A very pleasant surprise Will. Long service leave was one of the benefits that were on the conservatives hit list. Good to see the ordinary ‘coal face’ worker can retain something worthwhile rewards loyalty. Good stuff.

Gotta love LSL!!!! Was agreat bonus when I took the big ‘R’ a few years ago!
After 13 years it was nice to have that. i am not going to get into the AWA vs Award debate except to say that in the 4 years I was on one I managed a healthy 22% payrise… On award I waould have received half that… To each their own!!!
