I’ve been doing some cleaning up outside today - and I noticed a bunch of (native) wasps coming around. They normally build their little mud hive under the house, but I havn’t seen any so far this year.
This one hung around for a good few minutes whilst I took some shots of it.
This is an experiment with selective desaturation, as it seems to be the trendy thing to do.
Plus, the original is a tad chaotic without it (the christmas bush is a blue/purple colour).

I like it too Will. See if you can get one from side on to maybe capture a bit more detail. I like the effect.

I took something in the order of 80 photos of this little wasp… so yeah, I’ve got some of the side — it’s actually got a damaged left wing - The bottom 1/3 of the wing looks like it didn’t form properly when it emerged.
I picked this photo out of the batch because it’s facing the camera, and had everything in fairly sharp focus.
It took ~45mins to do the masking though — so I might post some others without the desaturation.
Later, anyway
Thanks for the comments too, btw.
