First time I install RC1, it worked fine. Second time? It always prompted me to click on the only user. Installing 5728 was fine as well. As for locking up, throw it into 'Boot from Last Known Good Configuration', its fairly good. What did you happen to install? ;) Auto login was one of those funny features.
